Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Home Health Aide (HHA) (Part-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and related services in the home, which is consistent with State regulations, delegated and supervised by a registered nurse.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks as related to a safe and comfortable environment for the client, as instructed by the professional nurse.
- Assist clients with bathing, toileting, grooming, shaving, dental care, dressing and eating.
- Assist the client with ambulation as ordered by the physician and approved and supervised by the nurse.
- Encourage the client to become as independent as possible according to the nursing service plan.
- Give simple emotional and psychological support to the client and other members of the household and establish a relationship with client and family which transmit trust and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have successfully completed a nurse aide training and competency evaluation program that is certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing as a certified nursing assistant.
- Must have current CPR certification and be able to provide basic first aid and CPR.
- Must comprehend the basics of personal care, housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Must understand and respect clients including ethics and confidentiality.

Certified Medication Technician (CMT) (Part-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medication to patients under the supervision of the RN.
- Record the name of the drug, dosage, and time of administration in the consumer/client’s record.
- Determine and record effectiveness of medications in a timely and accurate manner as required by state and federal regulations.
- Observe, records and reports to the RN symptoms and conditions of consumer/clients that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug reactions or medication side effects.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have successfully completed a 20-hour course approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing in Medication Administration and have a current CMT certification in the state of Maryland.
- Must be free from health problems that may be injurious to patient, self and co-workers and must present appropriate evidence to substantiate this.
- Must understand and respect client’s including ethics and confidentiality of care.

Personal Care Aide (Part-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Follow the plan of care to provide safe, competent care/service to the client.
- Help the client maintain good personal hygiene and assist in maintaining a healthful, safe environment.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
- Promote client’s mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest.
- Report any change in the client’s mental or physical condition or in the home situation to the RN supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Has successfully completed a basic training program of not less than 75 hours in aide services, like the Maryland Red Cross Home Course or equivalent, and possess written evidence of such completion. Aide’s must also 1 year of practical experience in an acute care setting, nursing home, home care program or hospice.
- Must comprehend the basics of personal care, housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Must understand and respect client’s including ethics and confidentiality of care.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
